Customer Service Training

    Good Morning,

    We have several employees within the City who need some serious customer service training.  We just had a training put on by Deer Oaks EAP Services, and it was awful.    Does anyone have a recommendation for an excellent customer service training that really engages the employee in the training, rather than just listening to a facilitator going through a power point presentation?

    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    It isn't cheap but I have heard nothing but positives about The Disney Way. You may be able to creatively partner with local jurisdictions to share in the cost. Deborah from HR Answers also does a nice job with "respect/anti-harassment training" but could easily tweak it to fit more of a customer service focus.


    Glad you shared that Deer Oaks was terrible; they run our EAP and I was going to look to them for some training. Will look elsewhere!

    While this particular training from Deer Oak wasn't great, I am overall very happy with the services that are provided by Deer Oak.  I also will be giving them feedback on the training in hopes that they can improve upon it.
