This position will provide oversight of the newly established Talent Management Division within the Department of Human Resources, and will be responsible for overseeing two distinct work units in Human Resources. One will focus on talent acquisition, on-boarding, and development, while the second will deliver a suite of strategic solutions to our county customers. Both of these areas are uniquely tied to the current strategic plan (2018 - 2021) and relevant project initiatives.
In a world where talent engagement is the major driver for success in organizations, the Talent Manager will lead a team of HR professionals and provide a focus on best and next practices in recruitment and acquisition strategies, employee engagement, retention plans, and leadership development.
This is the management level within the program series. Incumbents have responsibility for developing and implementing programs and services; developing program policies and procedures; and ensuring program compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Incumbents serve as a liaison and resource for collaboration and coordination of services; evaluate programs for quality assurance; and develop improvements and enhanced methods for delivery of services. Incumbents typically have formal supervisory responsibility of staff, or may manage a program and its services without direct supervision of regular County staff.
